Most people know the band members from years of playing in and around the San Diego area. The band “Whitewater” was put together in 2019 as a four-piece band to entertain at “Whiskey Flat Days” celebrating the town of Kernville, located on the fast moving and rapids filled Kern River, thus inspiring the band’s name. Members include, John Harris on guitar, Banjo and vocals. Dan Sankey on Mandolin, fiddle and backing up on vocals. Jim Blakemore on guitar & Mandolin while also adding to the vocals. John Bruce rounds out the sound on the upright bass. We are looking forward to once again be up in Kernville on the upcoming Presidents’ Day weekend to celebrate with the town.
